The country is stunning from top to bottom – from its Northern Mountains, to the Central city of Rome and down to the Southern beaches. With its warm weather and beautiful countryside, it’s the perfect country for a camping holiday.

Italy is a great destination for camping with your family, not least because it’s easy to get too and a short flight from the UK. It’s well serviced by airlines such as Easyjet and British Airways. Car hire is easy to source and there’s also an excellent national train service.

To the South is the stunning Amalfi coast, glorious Naples and volcanic Mount Vesuvius. Or you could take a trip over to the island of Sicily, with its wild volcanic vistas and tiny traditional mountain villages.

Some of the most beautiful campsites are to be found around the famous Lake Garda, where the countryside and lakes are stunning at every turn.
