When to visit a Suncamp Holidays park
As with most holiday parks, Suncamp Holidays sites are at their most popular in summer. If you want to make the most of the full range of activities and kids’ clubs on offer, you’ll want to be booking your family holiday for high season. In high season you can expect to pay from £250 to over £1000, depending on the location and type of accommodation you choose. If you’re happy to travel outside of these times, you can find breaks starting from around £100. Set in beautiful surroundings near to the magical Italian city of Venice, Union Lido is a must for water lovers! There are two enormous water parks complete with pools, lazy rivers, waterslides and Jacuzzis galore. There’s also a private beach, a gorgeous nature park with walking paths and a sports park and a play-paradise for children.
Located on the Spanish coast between Barcelona and Tarragona, this lovely site is only 50 metres from a gorgeous sandy beach. You can try your hand at various water sports such as surfing, diving and sailing or take a dip in the swimming pool with a waterslide for the kids. There also a great range of entertainment and sports tournaments to join in with.
El Delfin Verde
This large and popular site is located on the Costa Brava in Spain, with direct access to an extensive beach. There is a huge swimming pool, shaped like a dolphin with a large shallow area for younger children. You’ll find a big range of entertainment in high season with disco evenings, parties, excursions and sports tournaments.
Set on the Spanish coast between Barcelona and Tarragona, this beautifully landscaped site is full of Mediterranean plants and flowers, with large spacious pitches. There are two large outdoor pools, an indoor pool with bubble and massage baths and a wellness centre with sauna and solarium. Kids will love the bouncy castle and mini golf and there’s even a small children’s’ animal park.
This peaceful Croatian campsite is located in a beautiful bay between Vrsar and Funtana. There’s a new swimming pool complex where you can try a variety of water sports, or try your hand at tennis, table tennis, mini golf or beach volleyball. This Italian campsite is set on the shores of the beautiful Lake Garda, with stunning pebble beaches close to the site. This luxurious campsite is close to Venice and situated on the Adriatic Sea with its own private beach. Kids will adore the enormous pool complex, with various swimming pools, slides, play apparatus, fountains and Jacuzzis. There’s a big entertainment programme with shows, music, sports activities and musicals throughout the summer, as well as kids’ clubs.
Located on the beautiful Carantec peninsula in northern Brittany, this lovely site is right on the beach. There’s a fantastic pool complex with a large leisure pool, toddlers’ pool, Jacuzzi and three water slides. The biggest water slide is 180 metres long and 10 metres high! Try your hand at diving, table tennis or the billiards or simply relax at the beachside bar.
Enjoy a holiday on the glamorous Côte d’Azur at this lovely family campsite. You’ll find numerous sandy beaches only 8km away, or simply relax in the large heated swimming pool on site. There’s a great playground for the children, as well as entertainment for young and old with games, sports activities, music and shows.
International de Maisons-Laffitte
This quiet, spacious campsite is located on an island in the River Seine and is very close to both Paris and Disneyland. The site has sports facilities, a mini club for the kids and you can hire a bike to explore the surrounding area. Of course, the real draw with this site is its location!

What does ‘fully equipped accommodation’ mean?
All Suncamp accommodation is self-catering, so your kitchen will have essential utensils and crockery for cooking. Bed linen packs are available to hire at all campsites but pre-booking is essential.

Are plug sockets at Suncamp British or European?
There can be a mixture of plug sockets, so we recommend you take some plug adapters. These can be purchases at airports, ports and in some supermarkets and chemists.
What travel documents do I need?
British and Irish citizens are required to have a full (10 year) passport to travel abroad. Application forms are available from the Passport Office, the post office or from the Garda (in Ireland). If you are applying for a passport for the first time, you should do this at least six weeks before your holiday.
A European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) entitles you to reduced-cost medical treatment that becomes necessary while you’re in a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland. This is not a substitute for travel insurance. Information on the EHIC is available at http://www.ehic.org.uk or from your local Department of Health office. You can apply for an EHIC online or by phone on 0300 3301350.
What are the check-in and checkout times for Suncamp campsites?
You should plan to arrive between 4pm and 7pm, although your travel documents will indicate what time you can arrive from. Check out is usually between 8am and 10am.
How do I get to the Suncamp campsites?
Many people choose to drive to campsites on the continent, and you can cross the English Channel either by ferry or on the Euro Tunnel train. Alternatively, you could fly to your destination and then hire a car to travel to your chosen campsite.
I want to take my own car abroad – what preparations do I need to make?
Let your car insurance know that you’re travelling abroad and perform any maintenance checks needed (check tyre tread and pressure, top up oil and water etc.). You will need to buy a headlight adaptor kit to drive on the Continent – these stick over part of your headlight to avoid blinding other drivers when you’re driving on the right. It is compulsory to carry a warning triangle if you are driving in Europe in case of a breakdown or accident. This must be placed 30 metres from the car to warn oncoming traffic. In Spain you also need to place a triangle in front of the car. Hi-vis jackets for all car occupants are legally required in France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Belgium, It is also compulsory to carry a breathalyzer kit in France, and single use kits can be bought at ports.
