When to visit Hoseasons

You really can’t guarantee the weather in the UK but you will find that prices are higher during the summer holidays (as they also are in European parks). However, there will be more kids’ entertainment and sporting activities during high season. You can expect to pay anywhere from £400 to over £1000 in high season, depending on the type of accommodation and location you choose. Out of the school holidays though, you can find great offers, with prices starting from around £90. Another way to spread the cost and save money is to book early. You can book holidays for next year with a £25 deposit and get huge discounts as well.

La Croix du Vieux Pont
With a lovely lakeside setting and a stunning pool complex, this site has excellent children’s clubs and is ideally situated for both Paris and the ever-popular Disneyland Paris.

Duinrell
Situated in Wassenaar, South Holland, this excellent campsite has its own free to use theme park on site, along with a wonderful water park and tropical indoor pool complex. It’s also ideally situated for a day trip to Amsterdam.

Castell Montgri
This Costa Brava campsite has a free shuttle bus to the nearest beach but with three pool complexes onsite, you may not feel the need to venture that far. This is a large and lively site with excellent entertainment and plenty of facilities.

Set in over 100 acres of beautiful Lancashire countryside, Ribby Hall Village has a fantastic indoor heated leisure pool with splash area and water slides, as well as an adult only heated indoor pool and fantastic spa facilities. You’ll also find tons of activities to do, including a giant climbing wall, laser tag, fishing, play areas, tennis, squash and archery.

Primrose Valley
Situated in Yorkshire, this beautifully landscaped site is set around a large lake, which you can hire a boat or pedalo to explore. What does ‘fully equipped accommodation’ mean?
All Hoseasons accommodation is self-catering and provides bed linen (unless otherwise stated), beds made up, private bath or shower room, TV and a kitchen with fridge, cooker and sufficient pans, crockery and cutlery for maximum occupancy. Please check with the booking team on 0345 498 6060 to ask about any specifics.

Is the Hoseasons accommodation wheelchair friendly?
There are many wheelchair friendly accommodation options available across Hoseasons but please check on your individual choice before booking.

Are plug sockets at Hoseasons British or European on the European Holiday Parks?
There can be a mixture of plug sockets, so we recommend you take some plug adapters. These can be purchases at airports, ports and in some supermarkets and chemists.

What travel documents do I need?
British and Irish citizens are required to have a full (10 year) passport to travel abroad. Application forms are available from the Passport Office, the post office or from the Garda (in Ireland). If you are applying for a passport for the first time, you should do this at least six weeks before your holiday.

Health Cards
A European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) entitles you to reduced-cost medical treatment that becomes necessary while you’re in a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland. This is not a substitute for travel insurance. Information on the EHIC is available at http://www.ehic.org.uk or from your local Department of Health office. You can apply for an EHIC online or by phone on 0300 3301350.

Check in to your accommodation is usually from 4pm however this will depend on the location you have booked. Check out is at 10am.

How do I get to the Hoseasons campsites?

I want to take my own car abroad – what preparations do I need to make?
Let your car insurance know that you’re travelling abroad and perform any maintenance checks needed (check tyre tread and pressure, top up oil and water etc.). You will need to buy a headlight adaptor kit to drive on the Continent – these stick over part of your headlight to avoid blinding other drivers when you’re driving on the right. It is compulsory to carry a warning triangle if you are driving in Europe in case of a breakdown or accident. This must be placed 30 metres from the car to warn oncoming traffic. In Spain you also need to place a triangle in front of the car. Hi-vis jackets for all car occupants are legally required in France, Germany, Spain, Austria, Belgium, It is also compulsory to carry a breathalyzer kit in France, and single use kits can be bought at ports.
