Public transport within Switzerland is excellent, with trains, trams, buses and boats covering the whole country. It’s also extremely punctual and it’s rare to encounter any delays!

Surrounded by the two stunning lakes – Lake Thun and Brienz, and with the majestic Alps as a backdrop, the area is guaranteed to take your breath away with its sheer picture-postcard perfection. Families will love the wildlife parks, funiculars, museums and castles that are dotted throughout the area. You can also enjoy hiking and cycling to gorgeous waterfalls or through the foothills of the Alps.
Switzerland is also famous for its wonderful food and there’s bound to be something on the menu to appeal to all members of the family. Children will love the novelty of fondue and Swiss chocolate is amongst the best in the world. By the way, if you happen to pass a Sprüngli shop be sure to try their famous Luxemburgeli – the Swiss version of macaroons and available in every flavour you can think of.
