Camping Holidays in Holland

Holland (also known as The Netherlands) is a wonderful destination for a great family camping holiday. The flat scenic landscape is iconic – filled with tulip fields and windmills. Holland is easy to get to from the UK, with a wide range of options available. You can take the Eurostar from London to Brussels and then change onto a fast train to Amsterdam and beyond. Another option is to take a ferry to the Hook of Holland or Rotterdam with either P&O Ferries, Stena Line or DFDS. Finally, there are regular flights to either Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Maastricht airports with a variety of airlines including EasyJet, Ryanair, Flybe and British Airways. Public transport within Holland is excellent, with an extensive train and bus network as well as trams in major cities.

Our campsites are located in South Holland, which sits along the North Sea. The area is full of sights and attractions, with beautiful historic villages and islands that are ideal for cycling. Holland is an incredibly cycle-friendly country, with miles of safe cycle paths for families to explore. The windmills in Kinderdijk are part of a UNESCO heritage list and are well worth a visit. Cheese lovers will adore the city of Gouda which, in addition to its famous cheese, is also known for its syrup waffles (stroopwafels) – sure to be a hit with the littler members of the family! The Hague is the seat of the Dutch parliament, but is also home to the lovely seaside resort of Scheveningen. And Rotterdam is full of family friendly places, including museums, windmills, zoos and parks.
